What to Know About Summer Jobs Abroad
A summer job abroad at a kite or watersports center usually runs from April or May to September or October. Germany, Greece and Portugal run from May to September, while Italy, the Netherlands and mainland Spain run from April to October. The Canary Islands are the exception, with work all year.
Many schools hire months ahead: in 2025, 100 of the 237 kite instructor posts we listed went online in December, January or February, before the summer season starts. Send your applications early, and check each post for what it includes, such as accommodation, meals and pay.
How we pick these jobs: every job on this page is a seasonal or fixed-term position in a European or Mediterranean country whose main season is the summer (the Canary Islands count with Spain). We leave out remote jobs, jobs that are only in the United Kingdom, posts that name a winter season in the title and posts that only name last year.
